KC Classic Auto is proud to present this AWARD WINNING 1969 Camaro, A.K.A. Kate!
One of the nicest ’69 Camaros we have ever seen! The fit and finish on this car is second to none. Just won 2nd place in its class at the 2025 World of Wheels. Complete nut and bolt frame off restoration with just over 3700 miles.
Refinished in its original Garnet Red, using PPG base coat-clear coat, with painted black hockey stripes. No rust whatsoever! The hood, trunk lid, fenders, quarter panels, and floors were all replaced. Painted door jambs with polished hardware and sill plates. The rear valence panel was modified with cutouts for the exhaust tips as well. New polished trim, vinyl top, glass, weatherstripping and window seals. All exterior lights have been upgraded to LED’s.
During the restoration, the car was gutted and lined with sound deadening material. It has new deluxe black and white houndstooth interior with new seat cushions, deluxe molded door panels, custom white face gauges, power door locks, power windows, all interior lights upgraded to LED, and Morris Concept 3-point seatbelts in front and back. A new headliner, visors, mirror, dash pad, carpet, custom console with a clock that matches the gauges (and controls for the power windows/locks), and an upgraded tilt steering column with leather wrapped steering wheel were also added.
Powered by a built 355ci V8 with 9.4:1 compression, Keith Black pistons, Lunati retro roller cam, Chloys roller timing chain and FUEL INJECTION! The engine compartment is immaculate with many custom parts and finishing details. The firewall has been smoothed and painted, a filler panel has been installed up front and custom fender supports were added. All stainless hardware was used throughout. It has an aluminum radiator with a custom shroud and polished stainless upper hoses. The heater hoses and a/c lines are hidden behind the fender. New alternator and serpentine belt and pulley system.
Power is sent to the ground with a built 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission with polished aluminum pan, and a narrowed 9” rear end with 3.55 gears and posi-trac. It also has custom polished stainless steel dual exhaust with an x-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. New fuel system with a baffled tank, Walboro fuel pump, and all new fuel lines.
The car also has an American Autowire wiring harness, Vintage Air A/C and heat, power steering and 4-wheel power disc brakes with all new hoses and brake lines, and a custom e-brake assembly. A custom sound system has also been installed with a Pioneer head unit, 4 channel amp and speakers.
Completely new front end, including: new swaybar, bushings, ball joints, steering components, tubular upper and lower control arms, Viking double adjustable shocks with coilover springs (front and rear). The car has been mini tubbed and has a triangulated 4-link system with custom rear swaybar.
Custom gray carpeted finishing panels were made for the trunk, hiding wiring, the Optima battery and amplifier. Custom LED’s have also been installed in the trunk, controlled by a switch between the taillights.
Sitting on a set of staggered width billet Rally wheels 17x8” in front and 17x11” in back, wrapped in Nitto NT555 tires, 235/45/17 in front and 315/35/17 in back.
Wow…what a list! It would cost anyone well over $100k to build something this caliber! Pictures of this amazing machine DON’T do it justice! Don’t miss the opportunity to own this one!!
